· Company was founded in 1976 and has had a turbulent past. The company has been independent and owned by a number of other companies. Today Sage, based out of England, owns Peachtree by Sage. Peachtree has maintained its own management team in Norcross, Georgia, and while not capturing the market share of its closes competitor, Intuit QuickBooks, it is still a very strong company with a respectable installed base.
